Let’s begin this second day of Fashion Week asap !
Max Mara 9:30
Max Mara started this second day of Fashion Week with some pretty looks, simple and classic dresses keeping with the tradition of the Maison, and introducing some modern looks that are at my advise really wearable.
I sincerely don’t particularly like this collection, all made of geometric shapes added to normal clothes, or the introduction of strange quilted jackets transformed in dresses, like the one of Kendal. I am not sure I can find a pretty look from the défilé, unfortunately because I really enjoyed Spring/Summer collection. Far cry from other brands, Fendi isn’t one of the worse but it didn’t convince me, expected more than this.
Just Cavalli – 14:00
Why can’t I even find something -not saying pretty but just- simple that may be alright? And what is it with their hair ? Alright, we get it, in Fall/Winter it rains, it snows but it wasn’t necessary to gel their hair as if they lost their umbrella… I selected for you the only looks that might be pretty.
Anteprima – 15:00
I liked a lot this collection with a very geometrical color blocked theme, very subtile and elegant. A lot of pieces are wearable and I would like a lot of them.
Here for you a lot of looks because I wasn’t able to choose some of them.
Costume National – 16:00
A lot of black in the collection, an amazing dark vision for the new collection of Costume National. Graphic lines, asymmetrical jackets, revisited motor jackets are the essence of this collection. I personally loved it and would LOVE one of the blakc leather jackets.
Cristiano Burani – 17:00
Cristiano Burani’s Fall/Winter collection desn’t respect the “tradiction” of keeping it dark and shakes us with a lot of colors. I love putting a little touch of color in my winter outfits so I enjoyed the show and find some pieces lovely. Mixing the black (award nominated for the color most used in winter time) to red, blue, crème, he finds his way through this fashion week. Clap clap Burani!
Prada – 18:00
Madame Prada produced too a very colorful collection, maybe too much, with jackets, blouses, trousers all different. Some of them can be taken separately and mixed to sober accessories to do a good job, but presented like this with a super strange mix they are not so inspiring.
Moschino – 20:00
I’m not taking too much time for this brand, obviously hideous that counts on sensationalism to sell the products. The previous Barbie’inspired fashion show was obviously a lot criticized and this kind of rapper look is the opposite of the last one. Because of the obvious ugliness of this show, I’m thinking of a some kind of form of rebellion from the fashion industry by creating the opposite from where the industry wants to go. But the fact is that by doing this, the brand does not produce wearable or desirable clothes. Bonus for the Wall art’s inspired dresses at the end of the show, not something pretty but that break the rules and are artistic in their way.
So this was all for this second day of Milan Fashion Week. See you tomorrow! Be sure if you liked this article to subscribe submitting your email to receive the news for my next articles. Green besos, Marie.
