And now for our gifts, let’s try to make this year’s wrapping skills to the next level. Also, if you want a basic tutorial on how to wrap a present, check this article I made last year.
This article will principally be on how to create some super cute christmas cards for your presents. But also, you can be inspired by the way the gifts are wrapped. So let’s do it ! As always, if you recreate some of these make sure to tag me on Igm at @marienardi and leave a comment here telling me what you think of it ! I love seeing your comments and opinions.
ONE. The first idea is to make some Rudolf fingerprints. Take some gouache, water and a paint brush and put the paint on your finger as if you were taking your fingerprint. You can also do this with a regular ink for stamps but I preferred paint to have the exact color I needed. Let it dry and add a little red dot as for the nose. Then, with a black pen draw two dots for the eyes and two horns as seen here.
For the gift, I wrapped it into an unicolor paper and with some ribbon I went from one corner to the opposite.
TWO. The second idea is a fingerprint girl. You will need some pink paint, a black pen and some ribbon or washi tape. The procedure is the same: put some liquid paint on your finger and stamp your fingerprint onto the card. Let it dry and then draw some eyes, a hat and with some ribbon glued make her a scarf. This is so cute I just love it! Perfect to enhance a little gift.
For the gift I took some cardboard, folded it in half and glued one side, then folded the bottom to create some space and taped it. As for the ribbons, I cutted some stripes to create this pattern.
THREE. This one is very simple: draw with watercolours a big tree in the middle and then too others smaller as if they were far. Then I drew some yellow dots for the stars. This one is perfect for a smaller one.
For the gift, I used the same technique as the first one but crossed the ribbon in the middle and then added more ribbon to make all the curls.
FOUR. I made those boxes to hold my macarons I made. Then I took some ribbon and wrapped it around in a spiral. For the card, you just have to trace a cone with a pencil and with a black pen draw a zig zag staying in the cone. Then erase the pencil and you’re done!
So guys, I hope you are all having a nice holiday and a merry christmas to you all ! This enigmatic XMAS has ended of course so make sure to let me know what you thought of this all. I made a lot of effort in it so I would appreciate some feedback 😉 Let me know if you tried some of these.
